Abstract:
A piston rod (18) is secured to a piston (26) built in the cylinder body (23). A brake unit (40) is disposed in a cylindrical body (24) for brake and movement of the piston rod (18), at a specified stroke position, is regulated in the retreating direction by means of the brake unit (40). The brake unit (40) is applied with a load in the advancing direction by a taper rod (63) urged toward the brake unit (40) by a spring member (65). Consequently, a load is applied in the advancing direction to the piston rod (18) by the taper rod (63) through the brake unit (40) even if fluid in a fluid chamber (27a) for advancing is discharged.
