Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fluid sterilization device that suitably injects ultraviolet light that is radiated from a light source (a light-emitting element) into a fow pipe and improves sterilization ability. According to the present invention, a fluid sterilization device is characterized by comprising a cylindrical flow pipe and a light source unit, the flow pipe having a side wall, the light source unit being arranged at the side wall and comprising a substrate and a light-emitting element that is mounted on the substrate, a notch region that runs along the longitudinal direction of the flow pipe being formed at the side wall of the flow pipe, and the light source unit being accommodated in the notch region. The fluid sterilization device also preferably comprises: a heat sink that is arranged further to the outside in the radial direction than the substrate of the light source unit and contacts an outer surface of the substrate; and a housing that houses the heat sink. The fluid sterilization device also preferably comprises: an ultraviolet light transmission window that is provided in a through hole in the flow pipe that is positioned in the notch region so as to face the light-emitting element; and an annular reflector that is accommodated in the notch region and surrounds the light-emitting element.
