Abstract:
A fluid sterilizing device 20 is provided with: a flow pipe 22 in which is formed a processing flow passage 36 in which a passing fluid is subjected to a sterilization process; a first light source 28 which radiates ultraviolet light toward the processing flow passage 36; an inflow passage 42b formed in a direction intersecting an outer peripheral surface 22c of the flow pipe 22; and a communicating passage 78 allowing the inflow passage 42b and the processing flow passage 36 to communicate with one another. Midway along the communicating passage 78, from the inflow passage 42b toward an opening 22d in a first end portion 32 of the flow pipe 22, the communication passage 78 includes a narrow passage 80 where the communicating passage 78 is narrower than on the inflow passage side thereof.
