Abstract:

This fluorescence observation device 1 observes fluorescence of a sample piece Sa cut from a sample S, wherein: the fluorescence observation device 1 comprises a tray 11 on which the sample piece Sa is placed, a light source unit 12 that generates excitation light with which the sample piece Sa is irradiated, a detection unit 13 that detects fluorescence from the sample piece Sa, and an image generation unit 14 that generates an image of the fluorescence of the sample piece Sa on the basis of a detection signal from the detection unit 13; and the tray 11 comprises a plurality of placement regions 22 provided around a central region 21 of the tray 11, and also comprises a marker unit 25 indicating the cutting orientation of the sample piece Sa relative to the sample S.
