Abstract:
A fluorescent compound of the fluorescence on-off type for gene analysis. It has high stability and high sensitivity and amplifies a trace genetic signal to an observable level. The compound is represented by the following formula (1) or (2). (In the formulae, R1 represents C1-6 alkyl, amino, optionally protected or substituted amide, halogeno, or hydrogen; R2's each independently represents C1-6 alkyl, halogeno, or hydrogen; and R3 represents C1-6 alkyl, aryl, or hydrogen and R4 represents an oxygen-containing group or hydrogen, provided that R3 and R4 may be bonded to each other to form a ring.)
