Abstract:
Compositions comprising linear or cyclic fluorinated, saturated hydrocarbons of the following general formulae (I): Rf�1?-R�1?-Rf�2? and (II): Rf�1?-R�2?-Rf�2?. Each composition comprises more than 10 molar % and less than 95 molar % of a compound of the general formula (I) and the balance of a compound of the general formula (II). These compositions have an excellent chemical stability and a high safety for the living bodies, do not deplete the ozonosphere, and are used as detergents, solvents, etc., wherein R�1? is a carbon chain composed of CHF and CH�2?; Rf�1? and Rf�2? are each perfluoroalkyl, fluorine or hydrogen with the proviso that at least one of them is perfluoroalkyl, or Rf�1? and Rf�2? are bonded together to form a ring containing a perfluoroalkylene chain; and R�2? is a carbon chain composed of CH�2? and CH�2?, with the proviso that the skeletons of the compounds of the formulae (I) and (II) are the same.
