Abstract:
Provided are: a fluorine-containing copolymer that, in the form of a fluororubber, provides excellent cross-linking ability and low-temperature characteristics; and a method for producing the fluorine-containing copolymer. The fluorine-containing copolymer has a unit based on tetrafluoroethylene, a unit based on propylene, and a unit based on a compound represented by formula 1, and includes an iodine atom and/or a bromine atom. Formula 1: CF2=CFO(Rf1O)nRf2 (wherein, Rf1 represents a perfluoro alkylene group having 1-3 carbon atoms, Rf2 represents a perfluoro alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, n is an integer of 1-4, and, when n is 2-4, respective Rf1's existing in a quantity of more than one, may be identical or different from each other).
