Abstract:
 Provided is a fluorine-containing copolymer having exceptional adhesive properties and processability in terms of elongational deformation. This fluorine-containing copolymer is characterized by having: units derived from the following monomer (a) having carbonyl groups, the melting point being 120-230°C, and the ratio (X/W) of the melt tension X (N) and the load W (N) during measurement of the melt tension X being within the range of 0.5 × 10-4 to 2.0 × 10-4 (N/N); units derived from the following monomer (b); and units derived from the following monomer (c), the molar ratio ((units derived from monomer (a))/(units derived from monomer (b))) of units derived from the monomer (a) and units derived from the monomer (b) being 30/70 to 70/30, and the total contained amount of units derived from the monomer (a) and units derived from the monomer (b) being 80-99.995 mol% with respect to the total of all units. Monomer (a): tetrafluoroethylene. Monomer (b): ethylene. Monomer (c): monomer having two or more polymerizable carbon-carbon double bonds.
