The fluorine-containing ether compound is useful as a fluorine-containing inert medium or the like. R^f(CH₂)_nO(CH₂)_nR^f (I) (wherein R^f represents a fluorinated monovalent saturated organic group having 1-10 carbon atoms, and n is 3 or 4.)
