Abstract:
A fluorine-containing graphene quantum dot, an application thereof as a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy, and a preparation method, belonging to the field of biomedical materials. The prepared fluorine-containing graphene quantum dot, on average, has a thickness of 1.0-3.0 nm, a size of 2.0-3.0 nm, a fluorine content of 1%-2%, an oxygen content of 20%-30%, and a carbon content of 60%-70%. The present fluorine-containing graphene quantum dot is smaller in size and morphologically uniform, has a stable structure, and has a high generation rate of singlet oxygen under visible light irradiation. Also, said quantum dot has extremely low cytotoxicity, good water solubility, and more exceptional biocompatibility, being an ideal photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy, and suitable for early treatment procedures for diseases such as esophageal cancer, skin cancer, and lung cancer, and possessing a wide range of application prospects.
