Abstract:
The present invention provides: a foamed body which has a fine structure similar to that of a melamine-based resin foamed body and which achieves an excellent carbonization yield and excellent heat compression molding properties; a three-dimensionally crosslinked foamed body in which a polymer component that constitutes the foamed body is crosslinked; and a carbon foam obtained from these foamed bodies. The present invention is a foamed body that contains a polymer (A1) constituted from a repeating unit (a1) having at least one type of carbodiimide bond in the main chain. The content of the repeating unit (a1) relative to the overall polymer (A1) is 75 mass% or more. The foamed body has an airflow quantity of 50 ml/cm2/s or more.
