Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a foamed synthetic resin molded body by which, in the case that a hole-like portion defines a through hole, formation of a burr to close the hole-like portion at the time of foam molding, and generation of a defective molded portion such as a void, etc., around the hole-like portion can be sufficiently prevented or suppressed; and in the case that the hole-like portion is a non-penetration type, generation of a defective molded portion such as a void, etc., at the bottom of the hole-like portion can be sufficiently prevented or suppressed. Also provided is a foamed synthetic resin molded body produced by this production method. A foamed synthetic resin molded body having a hole-like portion on the external surface thereof is produced using molding dies comprising at least a first die and a second die. A projection for forming the hole-like portion is provided on the inner surface of the cavity of the first die. When the molding dies are clamped, the tip end surface of the projection in the projection direction is configured to be opposed to the inner surface of the cavity of the second die with a predetermined gap therebetween. When the molding dies are clamped, the gas in the molding dies is introduced between the tip end surface of the projection and the inner surface of the cavity of the second die by a gas introduction means.
