Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a foil transfer device capable of improving the releasability of a foil film from a sheet and promptly reducing the temperature of, e.g., a heating member. A foil transfer device 1 is provided with: a heating member (heating roller 61) that heats a foil film F; a pressurizing member (pressurizing roller 51) that holds the foil film F and a sheet S with the heating member; a releasing member (releasing roller 42) that releases the foil film F from the sheet S; fans 210, 220 that form an airflow inside the foil transfer device 1; and a switching mechanism 400 that is capable switching the airflow by the fans 210, 220. The switching mechanism 400 switches between a first state in which air is supplied to the foil film F positioned between the heating member and the releasing member and a second state in which air is supplied to the heating member or the pressurizing member.
