Abstract:
Provided are a round-shaping method, which comprises imparting a tensile force on the external surface of a food dough and thus shaping the food dough into a sphere, and a device therefor.
The round-shaping method, whereby a mass of a food dough (5) that is held on a holding member (9) is shaped into a sphere, comprises: simultaneously pressing the whole periphery of the food dough (5) in the lower side toward the center in the lower side thereof repeatedly by repeating opening/closing operations of a plurality of shutter pieces (19), said shutter pieces (19) being openable and closable and surrounding the food dough (5) on the holding member (9); and thus imparting a tensile force on the external surface of the food dough (5) to thereby shape the food dough (5) into a sphere. The round-shaping device for food dough, whereby a mass of a food dough (5) held on a holding member (9) is shaped into a sphere, is provided with a plurality of shutter pieces (19), said shutter pieces (19) being vertically movable relative to the holding member (9), being openable and closable, surrounding the food dough (5), and being capable of freely pressing the whole periphery of the food dough (5) in the lower side toward the center in the lower side thereof to thereby simultaneously press the whole periphery of the food dough (5) in the lower side toward the center in the lower side thereof.
