Abstract:
Disclosed are a foreground obstacle sensing apparatus, an autonomous mobile robot utilizing same, and an obstacle sensing method for the autonomous mobile robot. The present invention comprises: a foreground reflective mirror unit for reflecting an incident radiated signal and radiating the dispersed signals in the lateral and foreground directions, and when a reflected signal, which is a signal from among the dispersed signals reflected from an obstacle, is incident, reflecting back the incident reflected signal by a set angle to transmit as an incident signal; a signal radiation unit for generating radiated signals and radiating same to the foreground reflective mirror unit; a detection sensor for sensing incident signals transmitted from the foreground reflective mirror unit and outputting sensor signals; and a sensor control unit for controlling the signal radiation unit so that same radiates radiated signals and for receiving and analyzing sensor signals to determine the location of the obstacle.
