Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a forging method that can increase the strength of the forged product and suppress reductions in hardness in the usage environment. The forging method includes a warm forging step (S105) for warm forging a metal workpiece that has been solution treated, and an artificial aging step (S106), following the warm forging step (S105), for artificial preliminary aging of the workpiece at a temperature the same or greater than the temperature of the usage environment after the workpiece is manufactured. The equivalent plastic strain before and after warm forging is set at 0.1 - 2.5.
