Description:

DESCRIPTION

THE FRAME BORDER GASKET THAT PRONaDES SEALING AND INSULATION BETWEEN THE CONCRETE VACANCY AND THE PROFILE

Field of Invention The present invention relates to a frame border gasket capable of providing sealing and insulation that is necessary to be assured between the concrete vacancy, where assembly will be performed, and the door or window profile, or at the vacancies existing between any two surfaces during assembly of the door and window profiles at the structures for the construction sector. Prior Art

In the prior art of the invention, the sealing and insulation that is necessary to be assured in the course of assembling the door or window profiles to the structure is furnished by applying transparent or white colored silicone material between the concrete vacancy and the door or window profile. At this method representing the prior art of the invention, however, utilization of silicone material alone during assembling the door or window profiles to the structure induces some negativity and disadvantages. The silicone material used solidify and loose its flexible structure in time due to atmospheric conditions such as precipitation, extreme temperature differences, wind and dust, etc., which, in turn, leads to structural cracks and dilatations on the applied silicone layer. The silicone filler material worn in such manner looses its sealing characteristics in time and causes infiltration of rain water and dust in between the door or window profile and the concrete vacancy. Such a situation will lead to infiltration of air, dust and precipitation into the building and, furthermore, give rise to loosing the robustness of the door or window profile which becomes subject to atmospheric influences as it becomes unprotected against the same. The frame border gasket assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile as developed with the present invention, when installed to the door or window profile, serves as a buffer at the site located in between the concrete vacancy and the profile during assembly of the said profile to the structure and closes such site. The male protrusion at the spongy structure located on the gasket bends on the concrete zone at a specific angle and assures complete settlement and fills every vacancy without being dependent to the deformities on the concrete surface. Therefore, a complete settlement and cohesion is furnished.

The spongy structure located at the end of the gasket completely settling in between the concrete vacancy and the profile and the concrete zone sealing protrusion assures water and

dust tightness as well as high level of heat and acoustic insulation due to the spongy structural characteristics they possess.

At the silicon material applications representing the prior art of the invention, in addition to the disadvantages posed by utilization of the silicone material alone, it is also possible to encounter and mention about the errors originating from the staff while performing filling process with silicone material between the concrete vacancy and the door or window profile.

Occasionally such errors might be compensated with additional labor and loss of time, but sometimes, in cases when compensation of such errors proves to be extremely difficult or impossible, it gives rise to negativities such as reduction of general quality of the structure, that cannot be envisaged.

Due to the uncomplicated simple assembly and anchoring characteristics of the frame border gasket assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile as developed with the present invention, the errors originating from the staff could be minimized. Objectives for the Development of the Invention

In developing the frame border gasket assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile which constitutes the subject of the present invention, the objectives set forth below are aimed;

• To ensure longevity by manufacturing the same from durable and light material, • To ensure easy assembly to the door or window profile,

• To fill the vacancy existing in between the concrete zone and the profile completely,

• To cover up the formal defects on the concrete surface with the gasket,

• To assure complete sealing and insulation between the profile and the concrete vacancy,

• To minimize the errors originating from the staff that might arise in the course of assembling the door or window profile to the structure,

• To reinforce assembly of the door or window profile to the structure,

• To cover up the vacancies of various dimensions that might occur between the door or window profiles and the wall opening due to plaster workmanship.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The frame border gasket (1) assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile developed with the present invention comprises of; as the main components, the Profile zone sealing and thrust protrusion (4), Concrete zone sealing protrusion (5), gasket fastening space (6), hard gasket zone (7), gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8), gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9), Rigid Zone (10), gasket sealing and fixing protrusions (11, 12), gasket preliminary guide protrusion (13) and the spongy structure (14).

The frame border gasket (1) assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile developed with the present invention is capable of ensuring the sealing

an insu ation not on y etween t e concrete vacancy and the profile, but a so sea ing and insulation between any two surfaces.

The hard gasket zone (7) constitutes the body carrying the main components of the frame border gasket (1) assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile developed with the present invention. Such zone also ensures assembly easiness by constituting direction for the gasket.

The frame border gasket (1) assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile developed with the present invention is fixed to the window or door profile (2) by means of gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) and the gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9). In the course of pinning in the assembly protrusions (8, 9) to their corresponding place, the profile protrusion located at the exterior part also pins in to the gasket fastening space (6) and thus ensures complete fixation of the frame border gasket (1) to the door or window profile (2).

Fixation of the gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) to the profile circumvents release of frame border gasket (1) from the profile while the gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9) ensures balance at the profile space by assisting the gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8). The gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9) also assumes the safety task against the possibility of release of gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) from its place. By settlement and fixation of the gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) and the gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9), to the sides of the profile by assistance of the gasket fastening space (6), the profile zone sealing and thrust protrusion (4) also ground to the door or window profile (2) and thus assures sealing and insulation at this zone.

During the assembly process, the gasket preliminary guide protrusion (13) ensures centering of the frame border gasket (1) to the space existing in between any two surfaces that the gasket will be inserted.

After assembly of the frame border gasket (1) assuring the sealing and insulation between the concrete vacancy and the profile developed with the present invention to the door or window profile (2) as set forth above, the profile (2) can be assembled to the structure. At the time of assembly of the door or window profile (2) to the concrete zone (3), when the profile (2) is placed to the concrete zone (3), the spongy structure (14) and the gasket sealing and fixing protrusions (11, 12) located at the end of the frame border gasket (1) bends at a specific angle and contacts with the concrete zone (3). At this time, the concrete zone sealing protrusion (5) located on the spongy structure (14) settles to all of the deformed

surfaces located on the concrete zone (3) by virtue of its flexible and spongy structure and assure highest level of sealing and insulation.

Upon assembly of the gasket sealing and fixing protrusions (11, 12) and the profile (2) to the structure, accurate pressurization of the frame border gasket (1) to the profile and thus complete fixation of the gasket (1) to the profile (2) is ensured.

For the assembly of the door or window profile (2) to the concrete zone (3), when the profile (2) is placed to the concrete zone (3), the section to avoid breakdown of the spongy structure (14) located at the end of the frame border gasket (1) at the time of contact with the concrete zone (3) by bending at a specific angle and thus to get loose from the hard gasket zone (7) is the rigid zone (10).

This zone ensuring integration of the spongy structure (14) and the hard gasket zone (7) facilitating the assembly process by forming a wide surface with each other also ensures stretching of the spongy structure (14) of the frame border gasket (1) not only from a single point, but throughout the entire surface and thus, ensures the concrete zone sealing protrusion (5) at the small and vast spaces to form an oval shape (5) towards the rigid zone (10). In this manner, the concrete zone sealing protrusion (5) contacting the entire concrete surface by bending throughout the entire surface assures even sealing and insulation throughout the entire concrete surface.

The rigid zone (10) also ensures homogenous dispersion of the assembly forces during the assembly process.

The spongy structure (14) might be of ellipsoidal, rectangular, square and triangular cross section, as well as it might be one or more than one in number.

The gasket sealing and fixing protrusions (11, 12) might be of ellipsoidal, rectangular, square and triangular cross section, as well as it might be one or more than one in number. The profile zone sealing and thrust protrusion (4) and the concrete zone sealing protrusion (5) might be of ellipsoidal, rectangular, square and triangular cross section.

The space in between the gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) and the gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9) might be filled as well as the space in between the gasket secondary zone assembly protrusion (8) and the gasket primary zone assembly protrusion (9) might be connected to each other from the top section with porous structure in the middle.
