Abstract:
Provided is a freezer-refrigerator that comprises: a refrigeration cycle; a defrost heater for melting frost adhering to a cooler; a defrost temperature sensor for detecting the cooler temperature; and a control device that ends energization of the defrost heater when the cooler temperature detected by the defrost temperature sensor reaches a defrost ending temperature while energizing the defrost heater. The control device calculates the temperature change rate of a setting time interval of the cooler temperature detected by the defrost temperature sensor, and has a computing means for computing a peak value of the temperature change rate, and an end setting means for setting the defrost ending temperature on the basis of the peak value computed by the computing means. Therefore, it is possible to provide a freezer-refrigerator that performs an appropriate defrosting operation for the amount of frost adhered to the cooler.
