Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a frequency domain resource configuration method and a related apparatus. In the present solution, an access network device configures a first frequency domain resource for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and the first frequency domain resource occupies a part of an available bandwidth of the access network device; and the access network device adjusts the bandwidth of a second frequency domain resource according to a physical resource block utilization rate of a cell and/or a downlink data volume of a terminal device in the cell, the second frequency domain resource is a frequency domain resource that is available to the cell to transmit downlink information, and the second frequency domain resource at least partially overlaps the first frequency domain resource. An access network device configures a cell with a second frequency domain resource for transmitting downlink information without needing a terminal device to report a capability, thereby expanding the application range of the access network device, increasing the types of terminal devices that are supported by the access network device, and effectively reducing the energy consumption of the terminal device and the access network device.
