Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a friction pair formed from a stainless steel disc rotor, and a disc brake pad that is equipped with a friction material formed from a friction material composition containing a bonding material, a fiber base material and a friction adjustment material, but not containing a copper component or iron-based metal fibers, said friction pair achieving excellent and stable effectiveness at low speeds. [Solution] The present invention uses a friction material composition containing 20-30 wt% of a titanate serving as an inorganic friction adjustment material with respect to the total friction material composition amount, but not containing mica or vermiculite. Said titanate is preferably lithium potassium titanium oxide having a layered crystal structure.
