Abstract:
This front fork (13) comprises: shock absorber bodies (20) each having a first cylinder body (21) formed in a tubular shape and a second cylinder body (22) movably provided to the first cylinder body (21) in the direction of an axis (CL2) of the first cylinder body (21); a fixing member (40) that is in contact with outer circumferential surfaces (21a) of the first cylinder bodies (21) so as to be capable of fixing the shock absorber bodies (20) to a vehicle (10) on which the shock absorber bodies (20) are mounted; and support parts (60) that each support a portion of the outer circumferential surface (21a) of each first cylinder body (21) and are in contact with the fixing member (40). The length (L1), in the circumferential direction of the first cylinder body (21), of contact surface (61) of the support part (60) that is in contact with the outer circumferential surface (21a) of the first cylinder body (21), is shorter than the circumferential length (L2) of the outer circumferential surface (21a). The support parts (60) are provided in locations where the surface contact pressure (Sp) between the fixing member (40) and the support parts (60) increases when the vehicle (10) is decelerating.
