Abstract:

A system for generating electric power by using fuel cells in which a hydrogen gas in a modified gas and oxygen in the air is reacted, by using a portable butane gas cylinder containing butane gas as fuel, using part of the butane gas as a fuel gas, and generating the modified gas containing the hydrogen gas by causing a reaction between the remaining butane gas and water in a modifying device. The system is provided with a means which adjusts the gasified amount of butane from the butane gas cylinder and a butane gas flow rate adjusting means installed in the flow passage for supplying the butane gas from the cylinder to the modifying device. The system is portable.
