Abstract:
Provided is a fuel cell system control method such that power generation by a fuel cell is selectively stopped according to the required output for a load, and the idle stop operation of supplying a cathode gas to the fuel cell can be performed intermittently during a stopped operation. The fuel cell system control method comprises steps of: setting an upper limit value and a lower limit value for the fuel cell output voltage during the idle stop operation; intermittently supplying the cathode gas with the fuel cell output voltage at a value in an interval from the upper limit value to the lower limit value; detecting the moist state of the fuel cell; setting an appropriate moisture range in which the moist state of the fuel cell during idle stop operation is appropriate; and determining whether or not the detected fuel cell moist state is within the set appropriate moisture range. If the fuel cell moist state is determined to be outside the set appropriate moisture range, the method comprises steps of: re-setting the fuel cell output voltage; and intermittently supplying the cathode gas with the fuel cell output voltage at a value in an interval from the upper limit value to the lower limit value of the re-set output voltage.
