Title:
FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/074005
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fuel cell system that can reduce thermal stress in the fuel cell during stoppage and an operating method therefor.
[Solution] This fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell (1) that generates power using a fuel gas and gas containing oxygen and burns fuel gas that has not been used in power generation, a fuel gas supply line (9) for supplying fuel gas to the fuel cell (1), and an on-off valve provided in the fuel gas supply line (9). The fuel cell system is also provided with a stopping transition mode that supplies the fuel gas in the fuel gas supply line (9) on the downstream side of the on-off valve to the fuel cell (1) and burns the same in an amount less than that during power generation after the on-off valve has been closed as an emergency stopping mode that performs emergency stopping of the operation of the fuel cell (1) when the on-off valve of the fuel gas supply line (9) has been closed and a stopped mode that is transitioned to after the stopping transition mode.
