Abstract:
This fuel cell system comprises: a tank that stores ammonia; a vaporizer that vaporizes the ammonia; a reformer that generates a reformed gas by reforming the ammonia; a heat exchanger that cools the reformed gas; a first adsorber and a second adsorber each including an adsorbent material that adsorbs the ammonia included in the reformed gas and generating a fuel gas; a fuel cell that generates electric power by using the fuel gas; and an air supplying unit that supplies air to the reformer. The reformer includes: a reforming layer that decomposes ammonia into hydrogen; and a combustion layer that combusts ammonia. The combustion layer functions as a regenerative gas supplying unit that supplies a regenerative gas for regenerating the adsorbent material to the first adsorber and the second adsorber.
