Abstract:
Disclosed is a fuel cell which comprises an electricity-generating component, a fuel distributing system (8), a moisture retention sheet (9) and a cover plate (15). The electricity-generating component has a membrane electrode assembly (3) including an anode (21), a cathode (24) and an electrolyte film (27). The fuel distributing system (8) has a thin fuel line (65), a fuel discharge face (67) and a fuel discharge port (64). The membrane electrode assembly (3) has a gas release hole (h) which is formed through at least the electrolyte film (27) and which allows the escape of gas components produced on the anode (21) side to the cathode (24) side. The distance (d2) from the fuel discharge port (64) to the bottom of the anode (21) represents at least 1/6 of the distance (d1) from the fuel discharge port (64) to the top of the moisture retention sheet (9).
