Abstract:
Provided is a fuel fill opening structure configured so that a drain opening can be more reliably closed when filling fuel. The fuel fill opening structure (F) is provided with: a holder (5) for forming a fuel fill passage; a main opening and closing valve (7) provided to the holder (5) and opening and closing the fuel fill passage; a drain opening (14) formed upstream of the main opening and closing valve (7) of the holder (5); a drain flap (1) provided so as to be capable of pivoting and located at a position where the drain flap (1) comes into contact with a fuel fill nozzle (G) inserted into the holder (5); and a drain opening and closing valve (2) which pivots in coordination with the pivoting of the drain flap (1) to open and close the drain opening (14). A first amount (R1) of pivoting of the drain flap (1) which is caused to pivot when the fuel fill nozzle (G) comes in contact with the drain flap (1) is set to be greater than a second amount (R2) of pivoting of the drain opening/closing valve (2), the second amount (R2) of pivoting being required to close the drain opening (14).
