Abstract:
The fuel in a fuel tank (34) is supplied to injectors (26) used for intake passage injection and mounted on an intake manifold (14) by a low-pressure pump (40) via a low-pressure fuel supply pipe (36) and a low-pressure fuel distribution pipe (44). A high-pressure pump (32) is provided on the low-pressure fuel supply pipe (36), the pressure of the fuel is boosted by the high-pressure pump (32), and then is supplied to in-cylinder injection injectors (24) via a high-pressure fuel distribution pipe (28). In an intake passage injection (MPI) mode, the excitation of a solenoid (334) is stopped, and the operation of an electromagnetic spill valve (330) is stopped. Thus, it is possible to reduce vibration and noise caused by the seating of the electromagnetic spill valve (330) in the valve seat.
