Abstract:

A fuel injection device (100) that injects a gas fuel into an air intake pipe (2) provided in an internal combustion engine. The fuel injection device (100) is equipped with: a spray hole body (60) in which one or more spray holes (60a) which spray a gas fuel are formed; a valve body (10) that forms a fuel passage (15) for supplying gas fuel to the spray hole; and a valve element (40) that, when displaced with respect to the valve body (10), interrupts the flow of the gas fuel into the spray hole (60a). In addition, a suppression structure (70) is provided at the portion where the air intake pipe and the valve body (10) are connected. The suppression structure (70) functions to suppress deterioration of the mixture of the gas fuel and air, which is caused by contraction of the flow of the jet spray of gas fuel injected from the spray hole (60a). Therefore, the gas fuel injected from the spray hole (60a) can mix accurately with air flowing in the air intake pipe (2).
