Abstract:
A fuel injection valve comprising a valve assembly (10) comprising a valve body (13), a connecting rod (14) connected to the rear end thereof, and a movable core (12) connected to the rear end of the connecting rod (14). A fuel chamber (55) is provided between the connecting rod (14) and the valve housing (3) and an outside fuel passage (57) connecting the fuel chamber (55) to a nozzle hole (9) when the valve body (13) is open is provided between the valve body (13) and a valve housing (3). The valve body (13) is configured by: an annular valve section (13a) having an inside fuel passage (56) on the inside thereof that is capable of being connected to the nozzle hole (9); and a connecting tube section (13b) connected to the rear end thereof and to which a connecting end section (14a) of the connecting rod (14) fits. A first cutout (50) that connects the fuel chamber (55) to the outside fuel passage (57) is provided in the connecting tube section (13b) and a second cutout (52) that connects the first cutout (50) to the inside fuel passage (56) is provided in the connecting end section (14a). As a result, the fuel passage around the valve body can be increased and the fuel injection amount can be increased, without increasing the opening stroke of the valve body.
