Abstract:
This fuel injection valve is provided with: a nozzle body (20) having injection holes (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) and a valve seat (305) formed around inner openings (311, 321, 331, 341, 351, 361) of the injection holes; a needle (40) that is provided inside the nozzle body so as to be able to reciprocate, closes the injection holes when abutting the valve seat, and opens the injection holes when separating from the valve seat; and drive units (24, 26, 38, 44, 47) that can reciprocate the needle. The injection holes are formed such that the cross-sectional area of the inner openings becomes small in comparison with the cross-sectional area of outer openings (312, 322, 332, 342, 352, 362), an outer corner (363) which is positioned radially outward as viewed from the center axis (CA30) of the nozzle body among corners of the nozzle body which form the inner openings has a radius of curvature of the cross-sectional shape of 1 μm or less on a plane including an injection hole axis (HC36) which passes through the center (C361) of the inner opening and the center (C362) of the outer opening, the plane being a virtual plane which is parallel to the center axis or includes the center axis, and among injection hole inner walls of the nozzle body which form injection hole passages (310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 360) that connect the inner openings to the outer openings, inner walls (367, 567, 568) inside the injection holes positioned radially inward as viewed from the center axis have a surface roughness of 2μm or greater.
