Description:
SPECIFICATION

A FUEL INJECTOR HAVING A COMPOSITE ELEMENT TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a fuel injector having an element made of a material which provides sealing. PRIOR ART

In the present art, thermoplastic derived (preferably polyamide 66) materials are placed to the top section of the metal fuel injector by means of plastic injection so as to contact the body and so as to cover the electrical fixture. However, in this method, since the thermal expansion coefficients of plastic and metal materials are different, liquid leakages may occur in the intermediate region between the two surfaces. At the same time, since the holding between two different materials is weaker than the holding between two same materials, liquid leakages may occur between the metal body and the plastic material placed thereon. Due to this leakage, corrosion occurs because of the contact of the liquid to the metal body, and the usage lifetime of the fuel injectors decreases.

The humidity, leaking to the fuel injector, can advance through the cables, and it can reach the sensitive electrical fixture, and it can lead to corrosion and/or short circuit. This can lead to small-scaled or big-scaled problems.

As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a fuel injector having an element made of polymer based composite material, for eliminating the above mentioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field. The main object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injector whose usage lifetime is increased. In order to realize all of the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention is a fuel injector having an element made of polymer based composite material developed for preventing medium humidity and for providing sealing. Accordingly, said composite material comprises chip powder which absorbs the humidity in the medium. Thus, the humidity is restrained by the chip powder.

In a preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, said chip powder proportion is between 50 % and 90 %.

In another preferred embodiment of the subject matter invention, the polymer material is a thermoplastic polymer material. Thus, it can be easily shaped by means of the thermal process. THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the subject matter fuel injector, having an element made of polymer based composite material, is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.

The subject matter sealing material is a composite material comprising polymer and wood chip powder. Predetermined proportions of chip powders are added into the material which comprises polymer, and they are compressed under high pressure. In the preferred application, the chip powder proportion within the composite material changes between 50 % and 90 %. As the polymer material, thermoplastic material is used. The chip powder, provided in the composite material, absorbs the humidity existing in the medium, and it does not give the liquid out since the periphery thereof is encircled with plastic material molecules. Preferably said plastic-chip powder composite material is produced by means of the plastic injection method, however, alternative production methods like extrusion, etc. can also be used optionally.

Since the motor block functions in fuel media, there is always evaporated fuel and water in the medium. By means of said composite material, the humidity is absorbed and restrained by means of chip powder before it reaches sensitive electronic fixture and metal surface, and as a result of this, the corrosion and deterioration of the fuel injector are prevented and thus, the usage lifetime increases. Besides the use in fuel injectors, composite material can also be used in the trim fixtures of vehicles. Thanks to the improved plastic-chip powder composite material, the holding surface between the metal and the polymer material increases, and as a result of this, the holding force also increases. In the preferred application, after the fuel injector is positioned on the motor block, said polyamide-chip powder composite material is used in the pieces of the fuel injector which are provided on the side facing outside of the motor block.

The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed Claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
