Title:
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE, AUTOMOBILE HAVING THE FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE, AND FUEL SUPPLY METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/083448
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An automobile (20) has a high-pressure pump (64) for further pressurizing fuel
in a fuel pipe (63) and supplying it to a delivery pipe (66) to which an in-cylinder
fuel injection valve (25) is connected, and also has a solenoid-operated relief
valve (67) capable of reducing the pressure of the pressurized fuel in the delivery
pipe (66) by utilizing the atmospheric pressure. When the atmospheric pressure
detected by an atmospheric pressure sensor (89) is equal to or higher than a threshold
when an engine (22) is stopped, the relief valve (67) is opened for an opening time
corresponding to the atmospheric pressure and the fuel pressure to reduce the
fuel pressure. When the atmospheric pressure is lower than the threshold, the
relief valve (67) is not opened. The reduction of the fuel pressure in the delivery
pipe (66) is restricted by using the atmospheric pressure correlated with whether
there is an occurrence of air bubbles in the delivery pipe (66).
