Abstract:
A cylindrical furnace, comprising vertically separable multi-stages of insulating furnace walls and heating elements each installed on the inner surface of the insulating furnace wall at each stage, wherein a step is provided at the connection parts of the insulating furnace wall at each stage in the furnace wall thickness direction and an insulating spacer is installed at the step part, whereby the installation of the heating elements formed mainly of MoSi¿2? and the structure of the furnace can be improved, and the maintenance or inspection of the heating elements or furnace walls and the replacement of the insulating furnace walls (units) including the damaged heating elements can be performed easily.
