Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a furnace for non-ferrous metal, the furnace being capable of continuous melting and continuous casting using a continuously melted molten metal. [Solution] Provided are a melting furnace (11A) capable of melting an ingot of non-ferrous metal (B), and a dosing furnace (13A) holding a melt (D) of non-ferrous metal provided from the melting furnace (11A) and supplying the melt into a casting mold. The melting furnace (11A) is provided with: a ceramic melting unit (14A) accommodating the ingot of non-ferrous metal (B); a high-frequency induction coil (15A) externally disposed on the ceramic melting unit (14A); a temperature adjusting means (16) for cooling the high-frequency induction coil (15A) to a temperature equal to or lower than a heat-resistance temperature, and adjusting the temperature of an outside surface part of the ceramic melting unit (14A), via the high-frequency induction coil (15A), to a temperature where the ceramic melting unit (14A) is not damaged by thermal shock due to the difference in temperature between the inside surface part and the outside surface part of the ceramic melting unit (14A); and a means (17) for supplying electric power to the high-frequency induction coil (15A). The melt (D) melted in the ceramic melting unit (14A) can be continuously supplied to a dosing tank (18A) of the dosing furnace (13A).
