Abstract:
A fused heterocyclic compound represented by the general formula (I): (I) (wherein the symbols are the same as defined in the description), optically active isomer thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salt of any of these, hydrate of any of these, and water addition product of any of these. These compounds have poly(ADP−ribose) polymerase inhibitory activity and are useful as a remedy for brain infarction.
