Abstract:
Provided by the present invention is a fusion protein of plant-produced oral EPO and transferrin, using a plant such as lettuce as an expression platform for recombinant protein production. Further provided is an application of the fusion protein to the manufacture of oral capsules. Biological activity test results show that an anemia treatment capsule produced by the platform technique significantly increases the number of red blood cells in mice.
