Abstract:
A gas barrier composition which contains (A) a polyester polyol resin or polyurethane polyol resin having an acid value, (B) a divalent metal compound, and an organic solvent, wherein the acid value of the polyester polyol resin or polyurethane polyol resin (A) in the composition is 150 mgKOH/g or less; a gas barrier coating agent which contains this composition; a multilayer body which has a coating layer that is obtained by applying this coating agent; and a packaging material. It is preferable that the divalent metal compound (B) is at least one compound that is selected from among a zinc compound, a magnesium compound and a calcium compound.
