Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gas boiler having a freely controllable output in which the amount of a mixture of supplied air and a combustion gas is continuously varied to accurately control the output of the boiler even though the output of the boiler is high or low, thereby increasing the turn-down ratio; and to a method for controlling the output of the gas boiler. To this end, the gas boiler includes: a blower for suctioning external air to supply the air required for combusting; a gas valve for adjusting the supplied amount of fuel gas mixed with the air; a burner for combusting the mixture of the air supplied through the blower and the gas; a combustion chamber in which the combustion performed by the burner takes place; a heat exchanger for absorbing the combustion heat of the fuel gas generated by the burner; and an exhaust hood for discharging the fuel gas passing through the heat exchanger. The combustion of the air passing through the blower and of the fuel gas passing through the gas valve starts in the burner, and then the air and fuel gas are burned in the combustion chamber. Then, fluid generated during the combustion is discharged to the outside of the boiler via the heat exchanger and the exhaust hood. A flow regulator disposed between the outlet of the blower and the exhaust hood regulates the amount of fluid flow in proportion to the output value of the boiler, wherein the output value is less than the output value limit.
