Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gas circuit breaker having improved insulation performance. This gas circuit breaker is configured to have: a first arcing contact disposed inside a gas tank; a second arcing contact disposed so as to face the first arcing contact; a puffer cylinder which is provided to the outer periphery of the first arcing contact so as to be positioned coaxially to the first arcing contact; a puffer chamber which is surrounded by the first puffer cylinder, a fixed piston, and a hollow rod; an insulated nozzle which forms an integral space with the puffer chamber; an exhaust cylinder which is provided to the outer periphery of the second arcing contact in order to exhaust and cool hot gas discharged from an arc generated within the insulated nozzle; and a first stoppage plate which is provided at an end in the exhaust cylinder on the opposite side of the second arcing contact and which has an exhaust hole on the central axis of the second arcing contact.
