Abstract:
This gas circuit breaker (100) is provided with: a fixed electrode (1); a movable electrode (2) capable of coming into contact with and separating from the fixed electrode (1) by moving along the axial line of the fixed electrode (1); a movable-side case (3) interlocked with the movable electrode (2); a piston (4) which forms a mechanical puffer chamber (Mp) with the movable-side case (3); a cylinder section (8) interlocked with the movable electrode (2) and positioned in series with the movable-side case (3) in the axial direction; and a nozzle (7) which forms a first heat puffer chamber (Tp) with a cylinder part (8). A first suction/discharge port (Mnu) for sucking an insulating gas into the mechanical puffer chamber (Mp) and discharging the insulating gas from the inside of the mechanical puffer chamber (Mp) is formed in the movable-side case (3). A suction port (7n) for sucking the insulating gas into the first heat puffer chamber (Tp) and a discharge port (7u) for discharging the insulating gas from the inside of the first heat puffer chamber (Tp) toward a position between the fixed electrode (1) and the movable electrode (2) are formed in the nozzle (7).
