Abstract:

This circuit breaker has: a cylindrical tank (20); a fixed portion (30) fixed in the tank (20); and a movable portion (40) disposed facing the fixed portion (30) and movable between an input position making contact with the fixed portion (30) and a cutoff position separated from the fixed portion (30). The fixed portion (30) is provided with: a fixed-side main contactor (8) fixed to the inside of the tank (20); a fixed-side resistor contactor (5) having a ring shape surrounding the fixed-side main contactor (8); and a spring (12) and a dashpot (13) for supporting the fixed-side resistor contactor (5) from an opposing direction to the direction facing the movable portion (40). The movable portion (40) is provided with: a movable-side main contactor (7) disposed facing the fixed-side main contactor (8); and a movable-side resistor contactor (3) disposed facing the fixed-side resistor contactor (5). In a state in which the movable portion (40) is disposed at the cutoff position, the distance between the movable-side resistor contactor (3) and the fixed-side resistor contactor (5) is shorter than the distance between the movable-side main contactor (7) and the fixed-side main contactor (8).
