Abstract:
A gas flow furnace capable of generating a high-temperature strong circulating flow with low power comprises heat sources (3A and 3B) which heat a circulating gas outside the surface, and an out-of-furnace circulating passage (4) which takes a combustion gas flowing in a furnace interior (18) out of the furnace and again refluxes the combustion gas from another location into the furnace interior (18). The out-of-furnace circulating passage (4) includes heat accumulators (5A and 5B) provided in the respective portions of a circulating gas flow inlet and outlet (9A and 9B) which are opened to a heating chamber (2), a circulating fan (6), a flow passage changeover device (7) which causes the suction side and the discharge side of the circulating fan (6) to alternately selectively communicate with the heat accumulators (5A and 5B), and heat removing means (8) for effecting heat removal or dilution for changing the properties of the gas flow between the heat accumulators (5A and 5B), so that a high-temperature strong circulating flow (10) which periodically reverses the direction of the gas flow is formed in the furnace interior (18) by the flow passage changeover device (7).
