Abstract:
Provided is a gas-generating agent having a low combustion temperature and favorable ignitability. This gas-generating agent composition contains: (a) a fuel; (b) an oxidizing agent including a basic metal nitrate; (c) a basic metal carbonate; and (d) a binder (not including any selected from: starch, starch ether, methylcellulose, hydroxyethyl methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, guar gum, etherified guar gum, tamarind gum, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl ether, polyacrylamide, polyethylene oxide, or polyvinylpyrrolidone). The fuel of the component (a) includes melamine cyanurate (MC) and nitroguanidine (NQ), the MC/NQ content ratio being in the range of 0.20-1.50.
