Abstract:
The present invention provides a gas generation apparatus wherein an ignition assembly and a gas generator are housed in a housing having a gas exhaust port. A main body of the ignition assembly is covered with a metal cap member of approximately inner uniform diameter and a medical compound filling chamber formed. The ignition assembly comprises an ignition part, and a conductive pin, and is formed integrally with a resin with respect to a metal collar. The metal collar comprises: an anchor part, a portion whereof being fitted into a hole in the bottom face of the housing, and the remainder protruding into the inner side of the bottom face of the housing; and a guide part which contacts the anchor part and is formed in the axial direction. The guide part has an inclined face, an outer diameter (D3) of the portion which contacts the anchor part is maximum, and an outer diameter (D4) of a portion on the opposite side in the axial direction is minimum. The metal cap and the metal collar satisfy: the outer diameter (D1) of the anchor part and the maximum outer diameter (D3) of the guide part D1=D3; the inner diameter (R1) of the metal cap, the outer diameter (D1) of the anchor part, and the maximum outer diameter (D3) of the guide part D1=D3≥R1; and the minimum outer diameter (D4) of the guide part and the inner diameter (R1) of the metal cap R1>D4. The metal cap member is anchored in a state of the inner circumference wall face of the metal cap and the outer circumference wall face of the anchor part being press fitted, and of a ring-shaped gap being formed between the inner circumference wall face of the metal cap and the outer circumference wall face of the guide part.
