Abstract:
The present invention is a gas generator in which: an ignition means is provided on a first end side of a tubular housing body part, and a second end side thereof that is the axially opposite side is blocked by a diffuser part having a gas discharge port; a combustion chamber exists in an internal space of the tubular housing body part; the combustion chamber and the diffuser part are separated from each other by a cup-like member; a bottom surface section and an opening of the cup-like member are respectively positioned on the first end side and the second end side, and a circumferential wall section forms a first gap between the circumferential wall section and an inner wall surface of the tubular housing body part; a tubular filter is arranged in a space formed by the cup-like member and the diffuser part, and a first end surface of the tubular filter and a second end surface on the opposite side are arranged so as to respectively come into contact with the bottom surface section of the cup-like member and a blockage end surface of the diffuser part; and a communicative connection hole of the cup-like member is formed at a position that is closer to the first end surface of the tubular filter and that faces the first gap, whereas the gas discharge port in the diffuser part is formed so as to be closer to the second end surface of the tubular filter.
