Abstract:
This gas generator is provided with: an igniter including a separating part configured to be separable from the igniter and movable in a predetermined direction; a combustion chamber in which a gas-generating agent is burned; and a restriction part which is provided in a predetermined position in a predetermined direction from the igniter disposed in the combustion chamber and which restricts movement of the separating part in the predetermined direction, wherein the separating part includes a guide portion that, in the state where movement of the separating part in the predetermined direction is restricted by the restriction part, causes a combustion product, which results from explosives burning at the igniter and which is received at a pressure-receiving surface for receiving the combustion product, to be directed toward the igniter. This causes a gas-generating agent located around the igniter to be preferably burned.
