Abstract:
A gas generator, wherein: between an ignition device and an inner tube member, a pyrotechnic charge chamber is formed on the cover wall section side and a flow-through space is formed on the other end side of a side wall section, the space being configured so that exhaust gas can flow in from the pyrotechnic charge chamber when an igniter is activated and so that the exhaust gas can flow out to the exterior of the inner tube member when the igniter is activated; and the total cross-sectional area of an inflow channel, which is a flow channel through which the exhaust gas flows to flow into the flow-through space from the pyrotechnic charge chamber, is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the flow-through space.
