Abstract:
A gas generator (1) comprises a housing body (10), a holder assembly (20), and an igniter. The holder assembly has a holder part (20A) formed from a metal, and a connector part (20B) formed from a resin. The holder part (20A) includes a first body section (21) that has a cylindrical shape and includes a first end face (22) provided with a recess (22a). The connector part (20B) includes a second body section (24) that has a cylindrical shape and includes a second end face (25) provided with a protrusion (25a), and an engagement section (26) that protrudes toward the inner circumferential surface of the housing body (10), which is provided with a stepped section (12). The protrusion (25a) and the recess (22a) abut each other and the engagement section (26) and the stepped section (12) abut each other in the axial direction, and the protrusion (25a) and the recess (22a) abut each other in the circumferential direction, whereby the connector part (20B) is fixed so as to be incapable of moving in the axial direction and the circumferential direction.
