The present invention relates to a gas insulated switchgear. The present invention comprises a first module (50), a second module (52), a connection module (54), and a third module (56). A tank (58) forms the exterior of the third module (56) and has an inner space (60) in which an instrument part (62) is disposed. The third module (56) and the connection module (54) are connected at a communication part (66) positioned at the outer peripheral surface adjacent to each of both longitudinal end parts of the tank (58). The communication part (66) has a spacer (68) installed thereon, and a connection conductor (70) extending through the spacer (68) is connected to an instrument part conductor (72) in the inner space (60) through connection couplers (76, 76'). The instrument part (62) is supported by an insulation supporter (64) at the center thereof and by the spacer (68) at both ends thereof. The present invention, as described above, is advantageous in that an area necessary for installation of the gas insulated switchgear is minimized and assembling work is easy.
